Maintenance and faults
- Maintenance
- Regular maintenance takes place as far as possible at set intervals, but occasionally extra work is needed at times. When the system is undergoing maintenance, it is possible that you might be unable to log in to one or more applications.
Regular maintenance
- Every first Monday morning of the month between 20.00 - 02.00 hrs.
- Every first Tuesday morning of the month between 07.30 - 08.30 hrs.
Change of IP address smtp.leidenuniv.nl on 25 January
If you use smtp.leidenuniv.nl as the relay server for sending mail, please note the following:
- The IP address attached to smtp.leidenuniv.nl will change in the DNS server on 25 January at 12.00 hrs to 132.229.103.20 (it was previously 132.229.103.19).
- The availability of SMTP + SSL will also be modified. Following this change, port 465 will no longer be available.
Consequences for uses
- If you make use of a firewall, you should change the IP address of smtp.leidenuniv.nl
- If you use SMTP SSL via port 465, you should change this to the standard SMTP port (25). You can also use encryption here (via TLS and SSL)
