More information on Yoga
Hatha-yoga aims at controlling the physical powers, ultimately to bring the spirit into a state of perfection (HA means sun, THA means moon; the sun represents the positive and the moon the negative powers).
If the positive and the negative are in balance, everything should function well, as this is where Hatha yoga links the physical with the physical. But if one single part of the body is out of balance, the whole human structure becomes unstable.
When the balance has been restored, a state of perfect health naturally follows.
More information on Power Yoga
Poweryoga, or actually Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, is a form of Yoga which emphasizes flow. It is aimed at creating more balance in your body and mind. That means it will improve your posture, muscle tone, joints, as well as giving you a sense of relaxation and making it easier for you to lighten up and not take things too seriously. It is a great way to stay healthy and relaxed.
Feel free to join either class. You do not have to be super flexible, feel free to join in if you can never even imagine touching your toes!
Our starting point is Patanjali's Yoga, the classic or most original form of Yoga. This form of Yoga is also called Raja Yoga. The goal is to reach an understanding of ones internal processes so one can attain harmony between thinking, breathing and state of mind. This will result in immunity to stress, a healthy sleep, inner calm, more confidence, better concentration and a normal bodymass.
