Rates for sports cards 2009 - 2010


University students
Required for registration:
Student card (also required for renewing your sports card).  

With effect from 1 January 2009 the rates (excluding € 10 card costs) are:

University student annual card  €   130  
University student 6-month card  €     85
University student 3-month card  €     44
University student monthly card  €     22
University student one-day ticket  €       7
Guest one-day card  €       7
HBO students
Required for registration:
Student card (also required for renewing your sports card).

With effect from 1 January 2009 the rates (excluding € 10 card costs) are:

HBO student      annual card €    200
HBO student 6-month card €    130
HBO student 3-month card €      67
HBO student monthly card €      35
HBO student one-day card €      10
Guest one-day card €      10
Leiden University, LUMC and Naturalis staff members
Required for registration:
Evidence of employment at the University, LUMC or Naturalis (also required for renewing your card). 

With effect from 1 January 2009 the rates (excluding € 10 card costs) are:  

Staff University / LUMC / Naturalis annual card   €      200
Staff University / LUMC / Naturalis 6-month card   €      130
Staff University / LUMC / Naturalis 3-month card                €      67
Staff University / LUMC / Naturalis monthly card   €      35
Staff  University / LUMC / Naturalis one-day card   €      10
Guest one-day card   €      10
Leiden University / LUMC / Naturalis staff  one-hour card for fitness training *   €      75


*Every Saturday one training session has been scheduled for University staff members only.
Student sport association members*
Required for registration:
Evidence of association membership (also required for renewing your card). 

With effect from 1 January 2009 the rates (excluding € 10 card costs) are:  

Association member annual card  €    140


*Members of student sport associations who finished their studies.
External sports candidates
Required for registration:
An external sports candidate has to be introduced by a holder of a USC sports card (also required for renewing your card).

With effect from 1 January 2009 the rates (excluding € 10 card costs) are:  

External (with introduction)          annual card                €     350
 
Conditions for reimbursement of sports card
In principle no reimbursement is made for sports cards
  • An exception may be made only in certain cases (long-term illnesses, revalidation). For this to be considered, a doctor’s certificate will be necessary.
  • In all cases, a written application requesting reimbursement has to be sent to the USC management.
  • Within a maximum of 2 weeks after the application date the applicant will be informed whether or not reimbursement will be made. In the event the application is refused, the USC management will indicate and substantiate the grounds on which the decision was based.
