General Services Department
The University Services Department (UFB) provides a wide range of services and products, such as catering, copying and printing, post and transport, real estate services, photography and audiovisual equipment.
The services support directly or indirectly the teaching and research carried out at Leiden University and are used by all areas within the University, from members of staff to students, from administrators to University departments.
In the Faculty Club you'll find a restaurant, brasserie, dining room, terrace and meeting rooms; for every event a suitable location.
From the daily restaurant menu to events in special locations, the Catering department takes care of all the catering requirements within the University.
Xafax cards, business cards, pre-printed letter-headed paper and envelopes, copy machines and the Copy & Print Shop all fall within the domain of Copy Print and Mail.
The Service Desk is there specially for the users of the various locations. You can contact them for all your questions about facilities and services. These might include problems with the vending machines, hire of AVC equipment or minor building defects.
Internal and external post, small or large parcels, something to send or expecting to receive something? The Post & Transport department will make the necessary arrangements for you.
The reception desk staff organise the reception of visitors and coordinate the emergency services in the event of minor incidents or major calamities.
The Audio-Visual Centre (AVC) arranges presentation equipment for standard lectures as well as for congresses, exhibitions and seminars. And Photo & Digital have just the right solution for recording your event.
